so i thought

since youtube doesn't recall my favorites when i add them. and no one can see what i like that way anyhow. i thought since sometimes i do a lot of farting around online in the midst of "getting things done" and sometime i like things. and sometime i forget to tell people i like things. yes i don't hate everything. i thought. "hey that's what blogger is for right? i'm supposed to blog stuff" so imma start blogging "stuff." since my fotolog holds all the photos i've taken that i wish to share i no longer inserted such things into blogs, thereby removing the problem of broken picture links. so excuse any broken links in the future when the all powerful makes the sharing of things online forbidden or someone takes these fun things down to be unfun.

so the blogging of fun things begins. oh and i did wake up before 1pm today. but last night was rather restless. its hard to sleep when you're a bundle of energy. oh and now i want to figure CAD out so i can make a CAD representation of my room. cuz that'd be awesome. so it can be disorganized digitally as well as literally and figuratively and so forth.

oh and i do love how facebook is transforming itself and how it lets u post fun things in notes. but facebook profiles will never be all pretty like i want them to be. and in time perhaps we'll all forget of them. although i'm still waiting for ppl to forget about myspace. and frienster. and orkut. and makeoutclub. and .. oh wait! ppl did forget those. when i get a new layout up i'm going to put links to all those fun profiles i waste time with. because. why not. they don't link here for the most part, but maybe i can give them a kickback.

so here's this posts object:

:) It's nice that you're blogging so much now! :) Ok, do you know, I have had 'Mmm Bop' running around in my mind non-stop now since I saw your Hanson post. And now, if THIS admission does not compel you to forever block me from commenting here, I think nothing ever will...do you know, this is the ONLY Hanson song I have ever heard (ever knowingly heard...there likely has been something playing anonymously, to me anyways, in the background of a record store...or in a movie, or SOMEWHERE). I remember the video for the song on MTV (but MTV, of course, ruins everything, with time)...and I know a number of their albums since that first one have been very well reviewed, but I never have had the chance to listen to them. May I ask you, do you enjoy all of their albums, or is there a period of their recording career that you would consider their prime? I think I read that their more recent albums were much more mature in tone and concept than their early ones, but really, that should be true of any group or artist. May I ask, you have seen them...how many times in concert? It is wonderful to have a group that you are so passionate about...I have a few myself, and I know the love of these groups helps to make life a lot more fun, and rewarding.
Google would be such a terrific company to work for (I suspect)!! Wow, they are so succesful...they seem to have such a bright future. They just paid 3.1 billion in cash for DoubleClick...that is an amazing amount of money, oy! Best of luck with the application....forgive my asking, but would you be able to work for them in their technical department(s)...would you be able to use your degree? I hope so.
I wish you such luck in breaking the late-night habit...it is very seductive, staying up to 3am, having the house to yourself, and really it seems, the world to yourself. One of my jobs with the phone company (we are one of the hated ex-Bell companies) was as a late-evening operator...I'd get home after midnight, and the world is so quiet, and interesting past midnight...and you are so free then, when few others are awake. That said, WOW!! you can get a lot done in a day, when you are up before noon!! Anyways, I hope you hear from these companies soon..I hope you find a job that will challenge you, and keep you content.
Well, there were other things to write, but this is much too long already. Be well, and thanks for posting so much! It is fun stopping by your site. Au revoir, Chris R.

well honestly i saw the mmmbop video on mtv way back then (that was 10 years ago) and i thought it was funny. i didn't really like the song. but i had allowance money and not much exposure to music because i really wasn't allowed to watch mtv (at that time we only had mtv because they hadn't disconnected the previous residents cable service yet) so when i went to the record store i didn't know what to get besides james taylor and that hanson cd cuz it seemed popular. i think at that time i also bought a savage garden cd... but that's besides the point. i kind of felt guilty about buying it because it seemed childish. but i was consoled by the fact that they were my age. and really i thought the album was hilarious. but it stuck. and eventually after listening to it over and over i liked it. that and i like funny things.

i've seen them once on every tour they have gone on. and i think that their music has completely changed to the point where if i were to try to say whether the first album is better or worse than their new music it would be like comparing apples and oranges, ya know. if i had to choose a song to expose someone to hanson for the first time it would be a recent one, because well there's no going back in time. and they just can't sing like they did before puberty anyway.

i think that they will be able to release more original songs now (less over produced songs!) since they ditched their counterproductive record label and have gone "indie" so to speak. and plainly i think they are talented, so i think there will always be a place for them in my music collection.

as far as google goes, i don't think they need much expertise with physics. so no i wouldn't be applying my degree if i worked there. but there isn't much work in physics or with only a BS concentration in materials engineering.

Morning! You most likely have seen this news already, but I saw this little article in a magazine:
"Guitarist Isaac Hanson, 26, the eldest member of Hanson, and wife Nicole, 23, welcomed their first child, son Clark Everett, on April 3." It's hard to imagine that the boys could be soo young still, when they have been around, it seems, forever (they were very young, of course, when they first broke). Anyways, Happy Sunday, and I hope the storm that's heading the Northeast's way skips you...I live near Syracuse, and we're expecting more than a foot of snow...VERY depressing, when it should be sunshine and new-flowers outside! :( CR

ps--I would have thought Google was deeply involved in the area of physics...THE PHYSICS OF TAKING OVER THE WHOLE WORLD!! :) No, sadly, not funny at all...but anyways, I hope the job hunt is going well...everything seems different...better, I think...when one secures that first good job after college, and I soo hope this comes for you very soon. Bye! CR
